Stories from the Beauty Parlor and our Kurdish feminist partners JusticeNow have been awarded a Synergy grant by ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) — supporting our cross-border collaboration between Berlin and Sulaymaniyah. This is our first state-funded international partnership.

Sneak peak of some 2026 things in the planning - a Berlin-Sulaymaniyah cross-border feminist collaboration between Stories from the Beauty Parlor and the Kurdish feminist organisation Justice Now in Iraqi Kurdistan.

At the beginning of December, the founder of Stories from the Beauty Parlor spoke at ESCP Business School in Berlin alongside a panel of women leaders from diverse fields. They shared honest stories about leadership, career changes, and learning when to take risks. The conversation sparked strong interest and opened the door to new connections and collaborations.

What a lovely wrap to our Gaza–Ukraine women’s fundraiser: amazing food, a packed dancefloor, and so much collective care. We raised 1300 €. Huge thanks to everyone who came — and to Bite Club Berlin for generously donating all the drinks.
