What We Do
Our Goals
Advance gender equality and womxn empowerment by transforming individual self-care into community care through our fundraising, wellbeing, and local and transnational feminist mobilizing.
Build a platform that bridges the gap between beauty companies and feminist grassroots organizations worldwide in a time of rising backlash against feminist, migrant, and queer communities
Recognize beauty parlors as trusted third spaces and sites for engines of feminist funding and organizing.
Community Care Fundraising
Our community care fundraising model turns migrant run salons and local spots into sites of feminist fundraising, always centering two countries or struggles at once to bring communities together through music/dance, food, and care rituals from the countries supported. Joining us on this first year mission were collaborators and artists from 28 countries.
Through our first three community fundraisers, we contributed funds to womxn and queer-led grassroots projects in Syria, Ukraine, Palestine, Sudan, Georgia, and Iran. In total, over 600+ people attended these three events combined.
This pilot phase has taught us the practical challenges and advantages of this model, building the experience to enhance it, to eventually power a collaborative feminist fund backed by beauty companies themselves. All the while, the community decides what they want to support and fund.
Building a Global Feminist Community
Rooted in the local community but organized for our global sisters - we’re here to build a movement. Through stories, events, and fundraising. From Berlin to Pristina, Kyiv to Istanbul, we are spotlighting transnational feminist solidarity. Our first podcast season turned everyday experiences in beauty and activism into sites of documentary storytelling, traveling from nail salon to queer spaces
Locally, our Berlin fundraisers, book clubs, and wellness retreats build the trust and connection within the community to make this solidarity possible, bridging the differences in culture and lived experiences while standing firm against the growing backlash.
