Podcast listening party at Bard College Berlin
We're excited to announce another step in our ongoing collaboration with Bard College Berlin - our first live event! We will throw a listening party and talk together with Ina Constantin and Mariia Krychevska - the young journalists (and Bard students) - joined by Beauty Parlor's founder Annamaria Olsson and moderated by the Polish powerhouse Prof. Agata Lisiak.
Ina and Maria recently co-hosted our special podcast episode exploring Queer Ukrainian Beauty and what role beauty can mean in times of war. This summer, they travelled between Ukraine and Romania, visiting beauty salons - places where freedom and (self) expression are both creating normality in an abnormal situation and pushing gender boundaries. Places that say, «To hell with you, we're alive and we look good!»
Join us Thursday, November 6 at 19:00
JJK Hall Cafe (Waldstraße 15) for a listening party & Q&A
We'll listen together to a part of the episode and then open up a conversation about identity, care, and creative resistance, sharing insights about podcast production, and political storytelling in times of shadowbanning, anti-LGBTQ resentment, and growing authoritarian developments.
Come listen and be part of the discussion.
Organized with the friendly support of Bard College Berlin Civic Engagement.
