Did you know that less than 2% global charitable funding goes to women and girls causes? 

Stories from the Beauty Parlor is changing the course. We are an organization elevating the fight of women and LGBTQ+ individuals around the world, shifting self-care to community care one story at a time. By capturing stories of joy and resistance in beauty parlors, we will leverage the beauty industry’s $690 Billion annual revenue to support grassroots feminist causes and finally break the 2% ceiling.

Your donation today will fund: 

• Community events, our feminist book club, and grassroots fundraisers that strengthen local communities and support empowering causes worldwide, paving the way to mobilizing larger funds in our next phase. 

• In-depth interviews, research, and production for our podcast series where we platform beauty-artists and community leaders experimenting with new strategies to defend their rights and fight for feminist causes, such as immigration, climate change, and LGBTQIA+ Rights. 

• Office space used to train, mentor, and support female leaders to return home and organize with new storytelling skills. 

In times of extreme far-right rhetoric and policies shifting our society, anti-women and gender plights have fundraised over $1 Billion, surpassing the existing philanthropic funding for women’s causes. Together, we can empower local leaders, support human rights, and prepare the fight ahead at home and across the globe.
